Wake up & think positive
![]() A learned friend of mine by the name of Dr. John and I were having some positive and inspirational conversations about life in general as we usually do and we stepped into the subject of ownership. The synopsis of taking ownership is as follows: The more that we take ownership of our responsibilities, the more we take ownership of our lives. The more ownership that we have of our very own lives, the more orderly and organized life appears to us or is. The clearer our lives are, the easier we find purpose and or direction. The more you take ownership, the more you find a sense of being, than a sense of being lost in the rubble and commotions of life. The more ownership that you take, the more complete and worthy you can feel. To elaborate further upon that synopsis, a few examples were exchanged and or come to mind. Who You are It is a happy person who is glad to be who they are and the unhappy always have to hide who they are. I am not talking about sexual preference in this instance but if your mind takes you there, you do have to take ownership of who you are or the pretender takes ownership of you. I was thinking about other capacities that we exist in, such as friend, brother and sisters, husband and wife, parents and colleagues. If you consider yourself to be a friend, then be a true friend and take ownership of your friendship. Be everything that a friend should be or can be. If you are a brother or sister be a brother or sister and be their keepers. If you are husband and or wife, take ownership of that relationship and give more to each other than to others. Be careful what you give to others but always give each other priority. As a parent take ownership of your title and responsibilities. Someone or some young souls are looking up to you for guidance. Lead them well Your Car Next to taking people for granted, especially the close ones, there is the human tendency to take things for granted. Appreciate what you have and take care of it. Take ownership of it. You might think that you need a new car but, when was the last time that you took care of the one you have now. If you are not taking care of the one you have now, how long will the new one last? Remember that your car is a resource and your access to the outside world and of course getting to work. Take it for a wash or wash it yourself. Take it to a mechanic, if you can and you will probably feel better about it. Your environment Your environment is a reflection of who you are and it also has the capacity to impact how you feel or your next step in life. It does not matter how small or how large your space is, it is a part of you and how it looks affects how you feel or how others might feel about you. You can wait for a big mess to occur before you take care of your environment or you can take care of it while it is easy to do so. You do not have to wait for the sink to be full of dirty dishes before you clear out the sink. You can wait for disorganization to distract your progress to the day or you can know where everything is and get things done properly and promptly. Taking ownership of your environment rather than clutter taking ownership of your environment, will always serve you better. Your health, wealth and well being. Wouldn't it be nice if all medical and dental expenses were free? what a wonderful and healthy society that would be eh? The truth is that the majority of us are blessed with reasonably good health. Health insurance is to make some companies wealthier but it is also an insurance against ill health. Unfortunately not everyone can afford health insurance but as my learned friend pointed out we can still take ownership of our health and dental hygiene. You just need to do some research to find out the best way to do so financially. Make some inquiries to see if you can set up a payment plan with a dentist or doctor or find a really great plan. Take ownership of your health and well being, for without this everything else becomes redundant. Time and age will take their toll but in this day and age there are many ways to avoid paying a high toll or avoiding the toll. Find them and you will feel much better about yourself and about life. Take ownership of your financial situations. take ownership and care of your life journey and the direction that you want to go in. Take ownership of your purpose, of your true potential, of your creativity and who you are meant to be or want to be. There is plenty more to say about taking ownership, but I am sure you get the message and know already what you have to take ownership of to make a good day and a better life.
