Stop being tired of tired, treat home as your resting area and each day as a new opportunity to be more creative with your cycle and the road trip that is your life.

Life is a journey and it can sometimes be an exhausting journey. The simple truth is that life is a journey that has its own time frame and within that time frame , we all have our own purposes, our agendas, a period of becoming, of transitions and destinations.

The agenda is sometimes overloaded  for many of us and so time, energy and circumstances take their toll. The repetition of any given place, person or thing, or the journey to any given destination can also make us tiresome and thus we crave something different, even though not necessarily better or the grass not greener to what is different. Now, that is where you have to be careful about being tired of who you are, of what you have and what you do.

Think of yourself on a road trip for instance and the road trip is a minimum of thirteen hours. Prior to the road trip you were not able to get as much sleep as you should have because you were preparing for the road trip. You will be tired on that road trip and it might not be as much fun as you expected, because you are in the driver's seat. If you have someone else with you, the journey should of course be much pleasant and or at least easier.

Now imagine doing that road trip over and over again in the driver's seat. Even if it was easy to begin with because you were not tired, it will eventually become cumbersome and you will get tired of the journey Even if you have someone else to help with the driving, you might want to be somewhere else or be doing something else other than the road trip. You might even think of the journey as torture.

Life is like that road trip. Life is one very long road trip. It is exhausting to wake up every day, going through the same cycle over and over again and occasionally having something added to the cycle for you, to exhaust you even more.

It is not necessarily a bad cycle. It is not necessarily a bad journey either. I say that with friendship, marriage, partnerships, parenthood and many relationships in mind. All our relationships are a part of the road trip that is life. In fact there is plenty of beauty to the cycle and there can be plenty of excitement along the way but it is not without some struggle. It cannot be a journey without some struggle or some exhaustion. Even children can get tired of the cycle and they are not yet in the driver's seat.

You always have to be able to see some beauty to the journey and you always have to be able to understand that there is some struggle to the journey also. You cannot have your cake and eat it. You can eat it and enjoy it or throw it away. Some destinations only have one direction but you do have the choice to select your destinations and plan it so that you are not always tired of or on the journey.

If you have someone on the journey with you, that is nice. Be thankful for them and the fact that you have someone to switch the driving seat with. Be thankful for any breaks in-between the journey and use them to get some rest for the next few million miles. If you are on that life road trip by yourself, pace yourself accordingly and remember that there is a reason why there are rest areas on the roads that you do travel.

Stop being tired of tired, treat home as your resting area and each day as a new opportunity to be more creative with your cycle and the road trip that is your life.
