Wouldn't it be nice if you could walk back in time and undo what has been done or correct some mistakes that you made but that thought belongs to science fiction. It would be phenomenal if you could. life moving forward would be wonderful but what lessons would you have learnt? It can still be wonderful or phenomenal, in spite of any mistakes that have been made but that is entirely up to you.
Time is such a majestic concept and an intriguing reality. Time takes us through different phases of life and presents different opportunities for all of us. Opportunities that once were cannot be recovered but other opportunities can be created. Life at different points in time presents people that we meet and some that become a part of our lives, but at another point in time, they disappear from our lives or we just let them go.
Time is a gift of life, a guide if you like to encourage you to appreciate what you do have, for as long as you do have it. It includes things that you have accomplished, the things that you like doing and sometimes do not, people and all the places that you have been. Another guide to life is memory. Memory works with time and time against memory. Time allows you to preserve memories for a while and then they are substituted by more prominent events or they just fade away.
Memory is also the loophole to time. Actual time travel may be physically impossible but the mind is such, that it can. It cannot change anything that belongs to the past but it can change the future. In its basic form, this is `reflection' and ` contemplation' travel. Both can be exceeded but require some divine intervention or permission.
Here lies the danger to memory travel. Memory can take you back but it can also hold you back. You have to be very careful where you allow memory travel to take you and you have to be very careful not to get stuck in the past. There is the past, there is the now and there is the future. They are all a part of time and a part of your story but separated on purpose or with purpose. What was,was for a reason. What is,is for a reason and what will be, depends on how you decide to move forward in time. The reason is based on thoughts and action.
Positive thoughts bring joy. Negative thoughts and events create a negative time stream.Hold on to the positive thoughts for as long as possible and let go of the negative thoughts and events as quickly as possible. Delete them from your mind. Remember the good times that you had to your relationships and let go of the negative. let go of people who do not want you holding on to them. Let go of the places that bleed you of your positivism and let go of things that are a burden or will become a burden as you try moving forward. .
Here and now is the bridge to the past and the future and the rest of your life. Today will become tomorrow and tomorrow will become yesterday. You have to leave your baggage from the past with yesterday and travel today with a clear mind and light heart to meet tomorrow. What you are doing now will decide the future. What you do next, will become your memories. Make them good memories and you find joy as you move forward in time.
Live long and keep on moving forward.
Wouldn't it be nice if everything that was beautiful in your life happened to you in an instant or at the same time? What a rush that would be eh ?. Wouldn't it be nice if you did not have to wait for things to happen or they happened at the precise time you wanted them to happen and how you envisioned they would happen? A nice thought but a fantasy that would make life too easy and probably make you less appreciative of some of the things that do happen in your life.
Unfortunately, life does not happen that way. There is no ground hog day to happiness and no magic wand or remote control to make things happen magically. Life is a series of events that unfold gradually, in due course and sometimes according to due process. Some things can be rushed, while others cannot be rushed and some things get screwed up in due process but everything takes some time.
If everything happened in an instance or all at once, there would not be much to look forward to. If everything happened all at once there would be no need for faith or hope. If everything happened today, the anticipation and excitement of tomorrow would disappear and there would be no pleasant surprises.
Waiting for tomorrow is a part of today and a part of life. Friday will come soon enough as will your next pay but wishing it was already Friday, is wishing away part of life.
Life requires some patience. Patience requires some balance and some common sense. It requires some balance and some common sense because patience also requires some time.
All good things come to those who wait? Maybe, maybe not.There is waiting for due process and waiting your turn but not waiting forever. If you wait forever for something to happen, nothing happens.
Waiting for something to happen is also not to be mistaken for its idle sibling by the name of procrastination. Procrastination is where there is no need for due process to get something done or there is nothing standing in your way to get something done, but it does not get done
in time or on time. Be patient but do not wait forever or procrastinate for too ling.
Also remember that there is patience as it relates to things happening according to due process and there is patience as it relates to your relationship with people. Both may have human relations in common but with people,patience will bring better understanding . With understanding will come a better quality of relationships with people and certainly a better day.
Wake up and be patient with others. Wake up and be patient with yourself to keep frustration at day.
Happiness and sadness are a package deal to life. They come together as part of the journey that is life. They are two sides to the same coin but the size of the coin is different for everyone and the picture to each side is constantly subject to change. Each side of the coin can be separated from each other, each magnified or diminished in size. Think of it as a magical coin that you can command.
The word `merry' is universally attached to only one occasion that I can think of and that is Christmas. It occurs only once a year and to wait 364 days to be merry or to be merry only once a year is its own sadness. If that magical coin can only be flipped by you to its happy side once a year, you have to find some other ways to magnify the happiness that is a part of your journey.
`Happy 'is also primarily attached to one particular occasion in our lives and that is usually our birthdays. It also occurs once a year for celebratory purposes and is a good time to be merry but it is also sad to wait for it exclusively each year to celebrate life or to be merry. The good thing about birthdays is that a lot of people you know also have birthdays and even though it might not be your birthday today, maybe you know someone to be merry for.
It looks like the idea of being merry is beginning to extend itself from an occasion specific to the self to others and the magical merry side of the coin is expanding itself. If however we are only merry on such occasions, we place great limitations on happiness and are most likely associating our happiness with the receiving of gifts or attention. Gifts are great and attention also, but the celebration of life itself is more important. To be alive, to feel, to love, to be able to think, to see things, to indulge are reasons by themselves to be merry.
Money is important because we have created a society whereby it has become a necessity to survive. Having a job is important because it is a source of the money and your daily bread but do either really and truly make you happy? There are rich people who are not merry and there are poor people who are. There are people in well paid jobs who are miserable and those with none who are very merry.
There are many things in our lives to make us merry and or to make us sad. That is simply the nature and diversity of life. The things that make us sad, tend to find us by themselves or we allow them to. The things that make us merry, we have to find ourselves.To each their own source of merriness and sadness and to each their own share.The sharing of the merriness is what magnifies happiness and probably one reason why Christmas is so merry and the sharing of sadness has the capacity to diminish sadness. That is the magic of sharing both.
I have had my fair share of things to worry about and I have some things to be sad about but I have good people around me also to diminish the worry and sadness. I feel like I owe it to life and to others to be merry and so I wake up with the intention to be merry about the new day that has been given to me to shape of my own free will. I have others to cheer me up also and that magnifies the merriness to life also.
Wake up and be merry. Think of creative ways to make yourself happy, think of ways to make others merry and magnify your world with merriness.

Sometimes, we as a people and as individuals make too much of a fuss about things that no fuss need be made of. In doing so we create our own dramas that can easily transform themselves into something more monstrous.
There is also the tendency among us to complain too much about some things and do too little to resolve those things or to avoid situations that give birth to the complaints. Imagine how effective a person or organization could be, if the amount of time and energy spent on necessary or unnecessary complaints was utilized to a more positive and productive end. Imagine how peaceful your mind or world could be, if there was less to complaints about you or less complaining done by you?
Think, feel listen, empathize and help others as best as possible but make it a point for a moment in time, not to complain about anything or engage in promoting any complaint or aiding and abetting the magnification of complaints. Make it a point to resolve what can be resolved and accommodate frustrating people and situations.
If you have hands and feet to drive to work, make it a point not to complain about the traffic
for there are those without the opportunity or privilege to be able to drive anywhere. If the traffic annoys you, make it a point to get up earlier than usual to avoid the traffic or accomodate it in your mind.
If what you hearon the radio while you drive to work offends you, no need to get mad or start complaining because you can simply change channels or switch the radio off. If what someone says to you at work or during the day sounds offensive respectfully communicate your disapproval or walk away from the annoying words.
If what you see offends thee and requires your attention, give it appropriate attention rather than let it become a complaint. If what you see is character, cultural or action that is norm to a particular group but not yourself, avert thy gaze and make no complaint because it does not coincide with your own practices or frame of mind.
This is not to say that life does not provide reasons for complaints. This is not to say that you should be passive about any given situation that requires action. It is to say that the ability to
avoid or override frustrating situation and or annoying people will grant you more peace of mind. The ability not to unnecessarily complain about what is, will allow you to provide yourself with the state of mind necessary to get you to `what can be' or `where you want to be'. The less complaints that you are building up in your mind, the more clutter free your mind is to take the right actions about the right things.
Wake up and try not to complain and see how it impacts the day for you or how much more productive use your mind and energy are. If you do have a valid and serious complaint about something or someone, make it to the right source and in the right way.
